Fitta Warri:
Born in Franklyn Town, Jamaica. He grew up in St D’Acre, Kingston. His first experiences with reggae music began whilst he was still in school at the tender age of 14. Regular appearances with sound systems at school events resulted in him winning a DJ contest promoted by top Jamaican radio station Ire Fm. This led to the recording of the controversial song “Aids Healer” in which he prescribes a recipe of natural herbs for the cure of aids. Fitta Warri then went on to record ”Them Too Haunted” on the Addiction riddim for Rolling Records at the Marley’s Tuff Gong studio alongside other Jamaican stars like Anthony B and Jr Kelly. Up to date he has written and recorded up to 100 songs with different labels around the world. Fitta Warri has worked with different Jamaican bands and sound systems. He has also made numerous performances on the heavyweight Jamaican dancehall scene. Currently based in Germany Fitta Warri teamed up with UK dub specialists Zion Train. Early 2005 saw his last release, a 10 ” single “Geddeon Youth” for Universal Egg (Zion Train). His new album Sababa Vibes on the Lion Tribe Music label is a 17 track cd which was released on the 17.02.2006.
