Ales Cacovic, aka Alenia, has been involed in music production since 1992. In his youth he became influenced by all kinds of electronic music. But amongst all the genres, it was mainly early warp and detroit techno of the 90’s, which kept him inspired throughout later years. Soon he started to collaborate with his colleague Borut Bernik (now aka Torul) in 1992 and got closer to music production with his very first releases in 1994. Those mainly appeared on slovene labels such as Absense and Matrix Music, with various artist names: CLOX, CLOAK DEVICE, CHANNEL KLIRR,..
While gaining experience through studio production and live-acts, mostly in Slovene clubs, Ales also started to dj in 1994 as DJ AL. His dj genre, as well as a producing genre, moved closer to techno and became more and more flavoured by his most favored producers Mills and Clarke. The real era for Ales came when he decided to name all his own production with the pseudonim ALENIA. Since then his releases come out also on foreign labels. ALENIA
The very first ep of ALENIA appeared on a German label FINE AUDIO RECORDINGS in the summer of 1999. Soon after followed 2 ep-s on its sublabel TOUCHTONE and a year after also an essential ep on swiss label SPEAKERATTACK, which was very well received.
Nevertheless, the primary breakthrough of ALENIA took place in the year 2001, when a series of release’s came out on labels such as SPORE (UK), THULE (Island), SEISMIC (USA), TERMINAL M (Germany), ROTATION (UK), EUKATECH (UK), DEFINITION (Germany), SUPERBRA (Switzerland), KIAL (Slovenia), BOO (Australia) and FLOOR (UK).
Nowadays, ALENIA is recognized as a slovene techno producer and dj, more known abroad than in his home country Slovenia. Through all these years, his production developed to a strong fusion of techno, house and funk which gives a new flavour to the club music scene. That crossover is also expresed more and more with the every one of his new release.

He is founder and owner of Strobe agency, which does promotion and dj booking. He works as a DJ since 1999. He worked as a resident in clubs Quadro (CZ), Šantan (CZ), MÃr (CZ), Prison Club (Germany). Nowadays he is resident of Euro Club in Hluk and D-Club in Otrokovice. His favourite producers are Misjah, Joel Garcia, Renato Cohen, Anderson Noise, Mistress Barbara, Marco Bailey, Mauro Picotto, etc. He has played at many club nights and big parties and festivals like Hradhouse2002 (CZ), Hradhouse 2003 (CZ), Summer Trip 2003 (D), Ruhr In Love 2004 (D), Ruhr In Love 2005 (D), Apokalypsa (CZ), E-Lake Festival 2004 (L), Ibiza Night (CZ), Golden Techno (CZ), Colosseum (CZ), Stereodrome (SK),.. He has played in best clubs in Germany, Belgium, Austria, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Poland, Bulgaria, Slovakia as a support for djs like Marco Bailey, Rush, Adam Beyer, Dave Clarke, Chris Liebing, Marco Carola, Moguai, Tomcraft, Sonique, Inigo Kennedy, Takaaki Itoh, Marusha, Jay Denham, Marco Lenzi, Toni Rios, Nils Hess, Eddie “Evil” Richards, Pacou, Pascal FEOS, etc. Nowadays he present himself with groovy techno sets, sometimes on 3 turntables.

Being a female DJ in such a male dominated industry, DJ Candice McKenzie takes great pleasure in proving that the power of the DJ is in their skill, and not their sex.
Ambitious, Versatile, Determined and Professional are just a few words used to describe Candice.
DJing professionally since 1999 and going under the DJ name of ‘baby C’, Candice, at the age of 17 began playing out at House Parties for friends before making her club debut in the Zar Bar in Ladywell, South East London playing Old Skool House. Her audience was shocked by her passion, knowledge and enthusiasm towards the Old Skool sounds. It was then that Candice realised that her love for the art of DJing was a feeling that was not going to go away and begun pursuing a more professional career.
2005 has been no less than fantastic for Candice. As well as continuing to DJ in the UK, Candice has been snapped up by French DJ agency Razanaprod and has enjoyed playing in Valence, plus she has also DJed in Croatia and Germany, a country that she visits regularly. This year Candice will also be DJing in Slovenia and Greece, two countries that her presence has never graced before.
Candice is also an experienced presenter. She hosts a show on London’s leading underground radio station 9nine3.com [99.3FM]. She does this every Saturday between Midday – 2pm, and the show is entitled ‘Dolly Mixture’ as the music policy consists of a blend of Deep and Funky House, plus on occasions Old Skool Vintage House and some Disco.
