Death metal core v Orto baru
BURNING SKIES:
Burning Skies formed in September 2002, recorded a demo in January 2003, signed to Lifeforce a few months later due to a shared passion for David Hasselhoff and have their debut album, “Murder by means of existence” released late August 2004.
If you dig metalcore and are looking for something out there that is more innovative and extreme than all the others, look to Burning Skies for your salvation. This is definitely one of the most brutal bands in the genre and their skillful songwriting will blow your ass away…
SIX REASONS TO KILL:
Six Reasons To Kill was founded in Koblenz in February 1999. The band recorded a 6-track demo five month later that leaded them to a deal with Alveran Records and Howling Bull Records (for the territory of Japan). In early 2000 SRTK released their debut full-length CD entitled Kiss The Demon.
In 2001 SRTK joined forces with Germany’s Absidia to release a split-CD. Morphology Of Fear got released in March 2002.
On a small tour with vegan straight edge metal heroes xDEADLOCKx the idea was born to put all energy in a second split CD. The simply Split entitled CD reached the light of day in July 2003 and the first press was sold out within 3 months.
With new members and new influences the Band recorded their second Album “Reborn” highly motivated in the Kohlekellerstudios in March 2005. The album will be released in early summer 2005.
The experience in liveshows grew within the years while the band played countless shows, festivals and tours throughout Europe with bands from both sides, the Metal- and the Hardcorescene such as Hatebreed (Tour 2001), Hellchild (Tour 1999), Bleeding Through, God Forbid, Testament, Shadows Fall, Morning Again, Vader, Caliban, Napalm Death, Rage, Heaven Shall Burn, Strife and many other Bands.
Due to the change of members in SRTK (Patrick and Marco to Caliban, Stefan to Deadsoil) the sound did from the steam-roller-meets-Hatebreed sound of the first album “Kiss The Demon” to a more melodic and Thrash-influenced sound of “Reborn”. Nevertheless the energy continues to be on an excessive level.
Their lyrics deal with social topics like the discrimination of disabled people, environmental exploitation, racism, war and human rights. The bands prior target is to make people think and to tear down the unneccessary walls between the Metal- and the Hardcorescene. They always stand in for tolerance and an open mind.
EVENRAIN:
Evenrain started in April 2004 as the reincarnation of the band Ashes Encased when a new singer joined the team. The bandmembers are not new in the scene, for they have already played in many metal and hardcore bands. The line-up consists of Kado (vocals), Andraz (guitar), Peter (guitar), Bastian (bass) and Pijoe (drums). In their short career they have successfully presented their music in Slovenia, Italy and Austria supporing the gigs of Hatebreed, Pungent Stench, Disastrous Murmur, Rotting Christ, Carnal Forge, Destruction, Dissection, Primordial… Their style is fast and melodic death metal in the vein of Dimension Zero/At The Gates/Darkest Hour. The lyrics are a kind of self-reflection and are more expressive, which is a peculiar contrast to their direct and aggressive musical approach. In December 2004, they entered Studio Sonus and recorded their first demo entitled “Obscured In A World Of Light”.
