PRESLEY BASTARDS:
Presley BastardsThe Finnish punksters Presley Bastards started out in 2001, and the band includes five guys, who were born and raised around the same neighbourhood. Presley Bastards’ music is best described as melodic punk rock with some metal and hardcore elements combined in a rocking package of catchy songs with sing-along choruses. The first demo was recorded in 2002, but the first official release, an ep, saw daylight in 2004 entitled “…To The Last Breath”, which was released by a Finnish punk-label Fast Rock Factory. After the record, the band toured and wrote songs a few years, and the first European tour happened in the spring of 2005, when they toured two weeks in Germany. In the summer of 2005, Presley Bastards decided that it was time to go to studio and record their first full-length album. When it became the time to release the album, the band decided to release it themselves, and show everyone that it isn’t impossible to make and release a great record on your own and without any labels. So the album “End of Time” saw its birth in autumn, and has since gathered really good reviews in Finland and around the world.

SATURA LANX:
Satura LanxIn our short existence we have musically come a long way. Having a background in black metal, ambient and what not, we started out in 2001 in a small city of Huittinen, Western Finland, playing some brand of alternative metal. After going through the ordinary line-up changes, independent releases and a bunch of live performances our style has progressed to what we call a mixture of punk, hardcore, rock and metal.
Being the nuisance of enthusiastically and even intentionally bringing together elements from different styles you (probably) always encounter the same kind of problems: as many ears you please – as many toes you step on. As many communities you feel belonging to – as many have trouble welcoming you. Whichever side you feel taking on you have inspired us many a great song – so thank you!
No fighting the furies is our debut album. We wrote the songs during the first half of 2005 and of course we are extremely proud of them. We were hoping of securing a some kind of deal to produce the record but for some odd reason it never happened… We ended up doing the thing on our own, and we got Jonas Olsson, a great producer and a great guy to help us through the process.
The end result, 10 songs and 30 minutes, is the most diverse stuff we’ve ever written and recorded, yet both lyrically and in overall feeling the gloomiest.

LEAF-FAT:
Leaf-fatThe band was formed in June 2001. They took off as a high-school punk-rock band, trying to have fun and play some music. After fooling around and changing a few members at the beginning, they finally found the winning combination with the current line-up and hit the stage with it in April 2002 for the first time. Punk-rock is what they were sworn to in the beginning, but after a few turning points, the music took a shift in direction towards screamo, which is what their first album Underworld Kingdom sounds like (punk-rock/screamo), and post hardcore. However, it is hard to label this band with a certain genre, as their music is quite versatile. The first breakthrough for them came with their first video for Winter Song at the end of 2004, followed by their debut album Underworld Kingdom in 2005. The band became international after winning second place at a European festival in Graz, Austria, called Newcomer. That guaranteed them a place on stage alongside huge bands like Soulfly, Mad Caddies, The Real McKenzies… Leaf-fat is highly regarded in other aspects as well: their music is/will be featured on a Elan (ski/snowboard company) promo DVD and on a California based production team DPC Films; their album was also voted in the top ten at a Slovenian alternative radio station. All in all, Leaf-fat are the kind of live act that wont leave you indifferent. Their energy and power, devotion and self-confidence on stage will convince anyone who is willing to see them play, lend them an ear and give them a listen.
